On 23 March Spanish Flamenco guitarist Cañizares debuts with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Josep Pons. Cañizares performs Rodrigo’s Concierto de aranjuez and this joins a programme of Turina, De Falla and Ravel.
The performance follows recent success with The Florida Orchestra and NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo and upcoming highlights include Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Gävle Symfoniorkester amongst others.
