On 25 November Cañizares debuts at The Royal Concertgebouw with Netherlands Chamber Orchestra performing Rodrigo’s Concierto De Aranjuez. The programme also includes Fauré’s Masques et bergamasques, comédie musicale and Falla’s Suite uit El amor brujo. He appears alongside Gordan Nikolić (violin/conductor) and Ginesa Ortega (vocals).
Cañizares is arguably one of the most important and influential flamenco artists worldwide and has previously performed this piece with the Berliner Philharmoniker, under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.
