This month the Spanish flamenco guitarist Cañizares makes his debut in Sweden playing Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez on tour with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra conducted by their Music Director Michael Francis. Performances take place in Norrkoping (7 April), Linkoping (8) and Stockholm (9).
Following this tour, Cañizares will premiere his Guitar Concerto Al Andalus with Orquesta Nacional de España under Josep Pons, and will also perform concerts with NHK Symphony Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
