Troy Miller journeys to Australia performing his arrangements of Gershwin conducting the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and West Australian Symphony Orchestra. The concerts take place at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on 31 May & 1 June and Perth Concert Hall on 7 and 8 June. Troy is joined by singers Laura Mvula and José James.
Following the success of his ‘Gershwin Reimagined’ project at the Southbank Centre in February 2019, it re-imagines classics from the Gershwin songbook such as Embraceable You, I Got Rhythm and Summertime alongside original music from Laura Mvula and Shaun Escoffery arranged for symphony orchestra.
An in-demand producer, Troy has worked with artists including Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum and recently co-wrote and produced Calvin Harris’ most recent single ‘Giant’ ft. Rag’n’Bone Man, which reached the top 5 in the UK Singles Chart and has over 54 million views on YouTube. His conducting roles have taken him to the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Netherlands Radio Phil and BBC Concert orchestras among others.
