15/6/2018
On 30 June, Troy Miller makes his debut conducting at a sold out Concertgebouw with singers Gretchen Parlato and Laura Mvula with his ‘Gershwin Re-Imagined’ project. The programme is performed with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest and is curated, conducted and arranged by Troy Miller. It re-imagines classics from the Gershwin song book such as Embraceable You, Summertime and I got Rhythm alongside original music by Gretchen and Laura arranged for symphony orchestra.
This concert follows a successful performance at Szczecin Philharmonic Concert Hall with Gregory Porter. A prolific producer, Troy has worked with artists including Gregory (Blue Note), Jamie Cullum (Island Records) and Laura Mvula (Sony) while his conducting roles have taken him to the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia and BBC Concert orchestras among others. Highlights of Troy’s artist collaborations also include Adele, Lu Lu, Chaka Khan and many more and his unique skillset allows for many exciting orchestral projects across diverse genres.
