Christian Schumann debuts with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra on 27 and 28 October. The concerts are an exciting and innovative experience for the whole family called ‘Music Factory’, featuring well-known musical highlights in a combination of animation, dance and digital staging, bringing the symphony orchestra into another dimension.
A truly modern and multi-faceted conductor, Christian Schumann continues to establish a reputation not only as a leading international force in the film conducting world, but also as an opera and symphonic conductor. His debut in Oslo is one the season’s highlights which include James Bond film-in-concert performances at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, as well as appearances with Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre national de Lille and Copenhagen Phil. In spring 2018, Christian Schumann returns to opera to conduct Peter Eötvös’ iconic piece Three Sisters at Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
