Jazz bassist, composer and singer Avishai Cohen takes to the stage under the baton of Christian Schumann at Alfa Jazz Fest in Lviv performing Cohen’s project ‘An Evening with Avishai Cohen’ to a sold out audience on 24 June.
This performance sees Cohen’s dynamic trio, which includes Omri Mor and Itamar Doari, team up with the full and vibrant sound of a philharmonic orchestra to bring jazz, ladino, Hebrew and Latin music to a new dimension.
A conductor with many strings to his bow, this concert follows Christian Schumann’s recent arena performance of ‘Neverending Story Live in Concert’ at the Kraków Film Festival.
‘An Evening with Avishai Cohen’ is an acclaimed project being performed at venues such as Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, London’s Barbican and Philharmonie de Paris. Forthcoming performances of this project include: Rheingau Musik Festival, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, Malmö Symfoniorkester and Philharmonie Essen.
