Troy Miller: Kingdom Orchestra
Troy Miller is a rare talent whose artistry transcends the confines of genre. He has worked as producer and co-writer on albums with Jamie Cullum, Laura Mvula, Gregory Porter, Emeli Sandé, Rag n Bone Man, and Diana Ross whilst his conducting roles have taken him to the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, and BBC Concert orchestras among others. Seeing the need for a top quality, diverse orchestra that could cater to new audiences, artists, and the space between commercial and classical music, the idea of Kingdom Orchestra was born.
Troy Miller has hand-picked some of his favourite musicians, representing the multicultural map of the UK to create this new, exciting ensemble, and to stand as a testament to what orchestral music can and should look like. A multi-dimensional group of performers comfortable performing any genre in any space, they bring a vivacious musical display to all venues, from the recording studio to the Royal Albert Hall.
Highlights of Troy’s collaborations include: Adele, Lu Lu, Chaka Khan, Cliff Richard, Macy Gray, Branford Marsalis, Kyle Eastwood, Gary Bartz, Lonnie Liston Smith, Daniel Merriweather, Suggs, Gloria Gaynor, Grace Jones, Sister Sledge, Q‑Tip, Donna Summer, Mark Turner, Roy Ayers, Don Blackman, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Stewart Copeland.
Topping the charts with many of his productions, Troy Miller has won multiple accolades including an Ivor Novello Award on 2nd Sept 2020 alongside, Calvin Harris, Rag n Bone Man and Jamie Hartman with ‘Giant’ winning ‘Most Performed Work’. Gregory Porter’s album ALL RISE charted at No.3 in the Official UK album charts in Sept 2020 for which Troy produced and co-wrote on the album. In 2021 Troy produced and co-wrote on Diana Ross’s Grammy 2023 nominated album, THANKYOU.
