J’accuse is a French war film which switches between romance, drama, action, horror and embedded journalism directed by Abel Gance with music by Philippe Schoeller.
Filming took place between summer 1918 and March 1919 on battlefields that included Saint-Mihiel near Verdun and featured soldiers who returned to the front after filming.
This live film-in-concert performance was previously performed by Christian Schumann at the 10th edition of the Fiumcite festival and at the Manca Festival, where he conducted it with the SWR Sinfonieorchestre and Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice respectively. He recently He recently re-connected with the composer, Schoeller, for a live film-with-orchestra with OSPCM to critical acclaim.
