Edwin Outwater premieres ‘Symphony of Terror’

On 25 October at the Orpheum Theatre Vancouver, Edwin Outwater, together with the drag and horror icon Peaches Christ, premiere their newest production, Symphony of Terror, a Halloween Drag Horror Spooktacular, with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Outwater leads the way in a programme full of musical thrills for lovers of all things spooky, featuring excerpts from The Phantom of the Opera, Night on Bald Mountain, A Nightmare on Elm Street (a cappella), The Carnival of the Animals, Carrie: The Musical, Friday the 13th (Suite for Orchestra), Psycho (Prelude and Murder), Ghostbusters, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and more.
Peaches Christ and Outwater are joined by Toddy and Batty B Banks, Special Guests and Drag Artists, composer Harry Manfredini, and Vancouver Youth Choir, led by artistic director Carrie Tennant.

Outwater has collaborated with Peaches Christ on many productions and starred in a series of events with the San Francisco Symphony, including the hugely popular ‘Holiday Gaiety’, which makes its UK instalment debut in London this Christmas.
Outwater recently had a successful debut with BBC Concert Orchestra with Cynthia Erivo at the BBC Proms, alongside returns to New York Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The upcoming season sees him conducting with the likes of Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Nashville Symphony Orchestra and regular returns to San Francisco Symphony.
