American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist Becca Stevens continues on her Northern hemisphere tour by adding European dates to her closing Regina album tour.
In live performances throughout Europe, Becca will showcase Regina, an album that goes beyond her previous works — Weightless and Perfect Animal — still possesses Becca’s unique style of jazz and Appalachian folk-tinged songwriting, whilst diving head first into deep and emotional musical twists and turns.
Borrowing from powerful literacy and historical sources, Regina tracks are inspired by characters from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and based on a love letter exchanged between Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley, combing bass heavy production and rich and echoing, wispy vocals. Songs which The Spinx noted as “Stevens’ most smartly written, atmospheric and emotionally resonant songs to date”.
The Polyarts artist is set to bring her album to life in a ten-show tour throughout Germany, Switzerland, France, Norway and the UK. Including highlights at the Stimmen Festival with King Creosote, the Jazz Café, Jazz Dock and a televised debut at the Royal Albert Hall, where she will play with Jacob Collier, Jules Buckley and the Metropole Orkest in the Classical Proms.
In the autumn Becca will return to the US to join the David Crosby, of Crosby and Nash, tour throughout the US.
