Becca Stevens will be making her BBC Proms debut on 19 July 2018, joining Jacob Collier on stage at the Royal Albert Hall.
Having made a guest appearance at the Quincy Jones Prom in 2016, Collier once again teams up with conductor Jules Buckley and his Metropole Orkest in a special collaboration for the Proms, featuring a host of new tracks and a smattering of special guests. Jacob and Becca are long-time collaborators in live and recorded work. They wrote a track together for Becca’s most recent album and have performed at various venues and festivals across Europe and North America.
This is a significant addition to Becca’s recent and forthcoming highlights which include Nice Jazz Fest, Metropole Orkest, North Sea Jazz and Jazz Middelheim where she opened for Van Morison. It is also the most recent in a series of top-level collaborations across her career to date which includes David Crosby, Laura Mvula, Brad Melhdau, Snarky Puppy, Troy Miller and Esperanza Spalding to name a few.
This is Becca’s second London show this summer. You can also see her at the Jazz Cafe on Wednesday 11 July during her summer European tour. Following the success of Regina, Becca is working on her next album and has also been recording with David Crosby with a tour to follow in November 2018.
