Leticia Moreno performs Astor Piazzolla’s ‘The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires’ with Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga under the baton of Diego Martin-Etxebarria. The programme also features Ginastera’s ‘Obertura Para el Fausto Criollo’ and Dvorak’s ‘Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”’. Performances on 7 and 8 June at Teatro Cervantes de Málaga.
Moreno recently released an album dedicated to the works of Astor Piazzolla which has received international praise. ‘Piazzolla’ is the third album by Moreno for Deutsche Grammophon; a recording that pays homage to the composer on the 25th anniversary of his death. With this album, Moreno explores Piazzolla’s endless sound possibilities and offers a vital and renewed vision of his most emblematic works. It was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios (London) and Meistersaal (Berlin) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
