On 18 May Ollie Howell premieres his new composition commissioned by London Chamber Orchestra at Cadogan Hall. This commission has seen Ollie work with 150 ‘Music Junction’ participants during workshops to explore new ideas and to engage students of all abilities as part of his LCO residency.
Music Junction’s is the educational outreach initiative of the LCO. Its fundamental aim is to nurture greater empathy and connection between young people from different backgrounds by bringing together young people and giving them shared opportunities to make music as a group.
The theme of the concert is ‘an exploration of Joy’ and the programme will also feature Poulenc’s Sinfonietta and Piazzolla’s Libertango, conducted by HarrisonParrott’s own Oliver Zeffman.
