11/8/2017
On 19 August Christian Schumann conducts two concerts of iconic James Bond scores at a sold-out Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg.
Schumann’s affinity to film music has recently led to an array of important performances in the 2016/17 season including two major film-in-concert productions of Disney’s Jungle Book and Eon’s James Bond-007 on tour across key cities in Germany including Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich and Stuttgart. This concert follows on from Schumann’s recent success at Krakow Film Music Festival where he conducted ‘Neverending Story Live in Concert’ to an arena audience.
Christian Schumann looks forward to more film based concerts in the coming months. To name only a few projects, he conducts Noord Nederlands Orkest in Groningen and Amsterdam (Concertgebouw) as well as Munich Symphony Orchestra in Munich and Frankfurt in four Harry Potter shows. Other Upcoming symphonic highlights include debuts with Orchestre National de Lille and Francesco Tristano, Copenhagen Philharmonic and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.
