On 30 September Christian Schumann leads an innovative ‘Space Opera: Music from the stars’ programme at the 10th Tenerife International Film Music Festival: Fimucité Festival with the Orquestra Sinfonica de Tenerife.
Space Opera, curated by Schumann, includes works by John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Murray Gold. The launch of this project also features world premieres of works by Barry Gray (Space 1999), Shirley Walker (Space: Above and Beyond), and James Horner (Battle Beyond the Stars). Other pieces featured include themes from Battlestar Galactica, Thunderbirds, Star Wars and many more.
