Edwin Outwater continues his long association with San Francisco Symphony Orchestra with his collaboration with Metallica. 2019 saw the return of S&M (Symphony and Metallica) in September 2019 at the inauguration of San Francisco’s Chase Centre conducted by both Edwin and Michael Tilson Thomas.
The original S&M concerts featured Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony, and were conducted by the late Michael Kamen in spring 1999 at the Berkeley Community Theatre.
