Edwin Outwater Brings Famed Guest Stars to Orlando with Royal Philharmonic

Edwin Outwater returns to Orlando’s Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for five concerts as part of the centre’s The Residency Festival, conducting Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and joined by some of the world’s most impressive artists.
October 4 sees eight-time GRAMMY winner Beck join Edwin and RPO to perform unique arrangements of familiar favourites and seldom-heard deep cuts. This is followed by an evening with musical virtuoso Harry Connick Jr on October 5, for a concert of big symphonic sounds and classics from his remarkable career.
Edwin conducts national treasure Diana Ross in Steinmetz Hall on October 6 for a Legacy Evening to celebrate her unprecedented career. October 7 features Broadway royalty Sutton Foster and Brian Stokes Mitchell joining Edwin and the RPO for a night full of their greatest musical hits.
To round off the series, Bach Festival Choir join Edwin and RPO on October 8 for an evening of beautiful and passionate music composed for orchestra and chorus, including the world premiere of the orchestration of Tarik O’Regan’s Coronation Agnus Dei.
Edwin’s 2023/24 season follows an unforgettable summer including a return to the BBC Proms with BBC Concert Orchestra conducting the Northern Soul Prom curated by Stuart Maconie and Joe Duddell, a concert with Ben Folds and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and a performance of Earth: An HD Odyssey with Philadelphia Orchestra at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Further dates for Edwin this autumn include Lara Downes and San Francisco Conservatory of Music Orchestra on October 21, performances with Marin Symphony Chamber Orchestra on November 11 and 12, and the return of Christmas Gaiety to the Royal Albert Hall on December 12 with collaborator Peaches Christ. This year, the duo also take the Gaiety show to The Glasshouse in Newcastle on December 13, plus San Francisco for its eighth performance in Davies Symphony Hall on December 15.
