Stewart Copeland to join prestigious Jury at Cannes International Series Festival Competition 2020

Stewart Copeland will join as the only musician/composer, a host of internationally renowned actors, writers, showrunners, composers as part of the Long Form Jury Panel for this year’s esteemed Cannes International Series Festival Competition 2020. The competition takes place between 27 March and 1 April at Palais des Festivals in which 10 new shows from all over the world will be screened at the Auditorium Louis Lumière.
The CANNESERIES festival aims to promote and highlight series from all over the world and become the voice of this modern, popular and ultra-creative art. Drawing its energy from the very heart of the world-renowned city of Cannes, the festival takes place in parallel with MIPTV (The International Content Market for the Future) a must-attend event for industry professionals.
Copeland will return to Europe later this year for two premieres. On 22 August, he will debut his new project ‘Police Deranged for Orchestra’ at the Concertgebouw with Metropole Orkest and on September 6th, Staatskapelle Weimar will premiere Copeland’s new opera in collaboration with Jonathan Moore, Electric Saint.
