Avishai Cohen continues his orchestral success with his project ‘An Evening with Avishai Cohen’ with the Filmorchester Babelsberg at the Nikolaisaal Potsdam. In this concert, Cohen adds a new dimension to his distinctive music by combining his dynamic trio with the sophisticated sound of a symphony orchestra. The programme – which features arrangements for solo, trio and full orchestra – includes settings of Cohen’s own contemporary jazz and world music compositions, orchestrated traditional Hebrew and Ladino songs, and selected classical works. The result is an exhilarating musical experience — intimate yet high impact.
Recent and upcoming performances include Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, London’s Barbican, Paris Philharmonie, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, Malmö Symfoniorkester and Philharmonie Essen.
