27/5/2016
On 18 July Becca Stevens returns to London for a performance at Shakespeare’s Globe in London as part of the venue’s ‘Wonder Women’ series.
The series celebrates the extraordinary innovation of visionary women who are altering the complexion of popular music in the 21st century. This is the perfect setting for Becca as she moves towards the recording of new album — Regina — inspired by and written/recorded with an array of powerful female figures.
The performance will take place in the wonderful candlelit theatre — with original music from her upcoming album (set for release in 2017) as well as previous releases as well as covers of Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Iron and Wine and more. Becca and her band will also perform hits from her album Perfect Animal as well as exclusive, unheard material.
Watch Becca perform I Asked with Snarky Puppy and Väsen.
This performance at the Globe is part of Becca’s European tour and follows a number of recent UK performances at the Barbican and Royal Festival Hall during the London Jazz Festival.
Becca collaborates with artists including Esperanza Spalding, Jacob Collier, David Crosby, Brad Mehldau and José James.
